MOTTO TEXT FOR 2006
Isaiah 41 v 15 & 16.
"Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: thou shalt thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and shalt make the hills as chaff.  Thou shalt fan them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the whirlwind shall scatter them: and thou shalt rejoice in the LORD, and shalt glory in the Holy One of Israel."

ONE MINUTE MESSAGE
2 Corinthinans  5 v 17 "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."
For a soul to be redeemed, Christ must needs die in the sinners place and stead; the just for the unjust, the spotless one for the guilty one.  The Saviour's death on the cross was no mere martyrdom, nor was it simply an example of love. But it was the priceof the sinner's redemption planned by God, for the sake of ruined, lost and guilty sinners who could not save themselves.  He shed his blood as a ransom for many.
It was the great C.H. Spurgeon who said, "The doctrine of atonement is very simple.  It just consists in the substitution of Christ in the place of the sinner; Christ being treated as if He were the sinner, and then the transgressor being treated as if he were the righteous one.'"
Tell me, do you know what it is to be made righteous, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and His finished work upon the cross? There is only salvation to be found in the Lord Jesus, and by the shedding of His precious blood.
Andrew
